Stocks Finish Modestly Higher

The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 20 points (0.1%) to close at 13,779, the S&P 500 Index was unchanged at 1,517, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 16 points (0.6%) to 2,683. Crude oil dropped $1.42 to $79.53 per barrel, and gold ended down $0.60 at $731.90 per ounce.
