The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 108 points (0.8%) to close at 13,985, the S&P 500 Index lost 13 points (0.8%) to 1,549, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 26 points (0.9%) to 2,780. Crude oil rose $2.44 to $86.13 per barrel, and gold ended up $8.40 at $751.10 per ounce.
