The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 41 points (0.3%) to close at 13,474, the S&P 500 Index rose 9 points (0.6%) to 1,487, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 19 points (0.7%) to 2,671. Crude oil finished up $3.78 to $93.80 per barrel, and gold ended $2.60 higher at $814.00 per ounce.
