The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 2 points to close at 13,552, the S&P 500 Index advanced 1 point (0.1%) to 1,498, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 11 points (0.4%) to 2,724. Crude oil finished up $1.84 to $95.97 per barrel, and gold ended $12.70 higher at $829.20 per ounce.
