Stocks Finish Higher On Rating Reaffirmations

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 189 points (1.5%) to close at 12,570, the S&P 500 Index rose 19 points (1.4%) to 1,372, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 28 points (1.2%) to 2,327. Crude oil finished up $0.42 to $99.23 per barrel, and gold declined $5.40 at $942.40 per ounce.
