The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 115 points (0.9%) to close at 12,685, the S&P 500 Index rose 10 points (0.7%) to 1,381, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 18 points (0.8%) to 2,345. Crude oil finished up $1.65 to $100.88 per barrel, and gold rose $10.80 at $951.30 per ounce.
