The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 316 points (2.5%) to close at 12,266, the S&P 500 Index lost 37 points (2.7%) to 1,331, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 60 points (2.6%) to 2,271. Crude oil lost $0.75 to $101.84 per barrel, and gold ended up $7.60 at $975.10 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA closed 0.9% lower, the S&P 500 Index lost 1.7%, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 1.4%.
