The Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 257 points (2.1%) to close at 12,619, the S&P 500 Index advanced 30 points (2.3%) to 1,365, and the Nasdaq Composite surged 64 points (2.8%) to 2,350. Crude oil rose $1.14 to $114.93 per barrel, and gold ended up $15.60 at $944.30 per ounce.
