Stocks End The Week Higher Despite Weak Payroll Data

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 17 points (0.1%) to close at 12,609, the S&P 500 Index rose 1 point (0.1%) to 1,370, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 8 points (0.3%) to 2,371. Crude oil finished up $2.40 to $106.23 per barrel, and gold ended up $9.00 at $914.70 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA closed 3.2% higher, the S&P 500 Index increased 4.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 4.9%.
