The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 40 points (0.3%) to close at 12,832, the S&P 500 Index declined 5 points (0.4%) to 1,391, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 2 points (0.1%) to 2,426. Crude oil dropped $3.12 to $115.63 per barrel,and gold ended down $23.30 at $872.20 per ounce.
