The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 51 points (0.4%) to close at 13,021, the S&P 500 Index rose 11 points (0.8%) to 1,418, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 19 points (0.8%) to 2,483. Crude oil rose $1.87 to $121.84 per barrel, and gold ended up $4.70 at $878.80 per ounce.
