The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 52 points (0.4%) to close at 12,867, the S&P 500 Index gained 5 points (0.4%) to 1,398, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 13 points (0.5%) to 2,451. Crude oil rose $0.16 to another record close of $123.69 per barrel, and gold ended up $13.40 at $884.60 per ounce.
