The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 131 points (1.1%) to close at a three-month low of 12,029, the S&P 500 Index dropped 13 points (1.0%) to 1,338, while the Nasdaq Composite declined 28 points (1.1%) to 2,430. Crude oil advanced $2.67 to $136.68 per barrel, and gold ended up $6.60 at $890.90 per ounce.
