The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 135 points (1.2%) to close at 11,603, the S&P 500 Index rose 17 points (1.4%) to 1,277, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 24 points (1.1%) to 2,304. Crude oil fell $3.09 to $127.95 per barrel, and gold dropped $20.00 to $943.70 per ounce.
