The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 206 points (1.8%) to close at 11,378, the S&P 500 Index fell 17 points (1.3%) at 1,267, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 4 points (0.2%) to 2,326. Crude oil fell $2.69 to $124.08 per barrel, and gold rose $10.10 at $913.00 per ounce.
