Stocks Soar On Sharp Drop In Crude Prices & Dollar Rally

The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 303 points (2.7%) to close at 11,734, the S&P 500 Index jumped 30 points (2.4%) to 1,296, and the Nasdaq Composite spiked 58 points (2.5%) to 2,414. Crude oil finished down $4.82 to $115.20 per barrel, and gold ended down $12.90 at $857.80 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA closed 3.6% higher, the S&P 500 Index was up 2.9%, and the Nasdaq Composite increased 4.5%.
