The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 345 points (3.0%) to close at 11,188, the S&P 500 Index dropped 38 points (3.0%) to 1,237, and the Nasdaq Composite tumbled 75 points (3.2%) to 2,259. Crude oil dropped $1.46 to $107.89 per barrel, and gold fell $7.90 to finish at $800.30 per ounce.
