The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 142 points (1.3%) to close at 11,059, the S&P 500 Index rose 21 points (1.8%) to 1,214, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 28 points (1.3%) to 2,208. Crude oil fell $4.56 to $91.15 per barrel, and gold lost $6.00 to $781.00 per ounce.
