Stocks Fall Led By Financials

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 281 points (4.1%) to close at 6,594, the S&P 500 Index lost 30 points (4.3%) to 683, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 54 points (4.0%) to 1,300. Crude oil fell $1.26 to $44.12 per barrel, and gold increased $27.80 to $934.30 per ounce.
