Markets See Gains Slip Away

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 15 points (0.2%) to close at 8,277, the S&P 500 Index fell 1 point (0.2%) to 887, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 3 points (0.2%) to 1,692. Crude oil gained $0.62 to $61.67 per barrel, and gold gained $3.65 to $957.45 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA gained 0.1%, the S&P 500 Index rose 0.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.7%.
