The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 2 points (0.03%) to close at 10,194, the S&P 500 Index lost 5 points (0.5%) to 1,092, and the Nasdaq Composite shed 7 points (0.3%) to 2,203. Crude oil was $1.50 lower at $74.71 per barrel, and the Bloomberg gold spot price fell $0.45 to $1,097.95 per ounce.
