Crude oil was $1.54 lower at $74.54 per barrel, and the Bloomberg gold spot price fell $0.13 to $1,093.83 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA lost 4.1%, while the S&P 500 Index fell 3.9%, and the Nasdaq Composite declined by 3.6%.
