Crude oil was $2.43 lower at $83.08 per barrel, and the Bloomberg gold spot price fell $23.15 to $1,136.10 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA rose 0.2%, while the S&P 500 Index lost 0.2%, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 1.1%.
