Rate Cut & GDP Reading Help Stocks Close Higher

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 138 points (1.0%) to close at 13,930, the S&P 500 Index rose 18 points (1.2%) to 1,549, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 42 points (1.5%) to 2,859. Crude oil rose $4.15 to $94.53 per barrel,and gold ended $10.70 higher at $798.40 per ounce.
