Stocks Flat Ahead Of Labor Report

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 6 points to close at 13,974, the S&P 500 Index finished 3 points (0.2%) higher at 1,543, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 4 points (0.2%) to 2,734. Crude oil rose $1.50 to $81.44 per barrel,and gold ended up $7.50 at $736.80 per ounce.
