The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 86 points (0.6%) to close at 13,221, the S&P 500 Index declined 11 points (0.7%) to 1,470, and the Nasdaq Composite slid 29 points (1.1%) to 2,644. Crude oil advanced $2.64 to $93.81 per barrel, and gold ended up $13.90 at $813.10 per ounce.
