The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 101 points (0.7%) to close at 13,727, the S&P 500 Index rose 11 points (0.8%) to 1,516, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 13 points (0.5%) to 2,719. Crude oil finished down $0.30 to $87.98 per barrel, and gold ended $13.80 higher at $808.20 per ounce.
