The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 134 points (1.1%) to close at 12,504, the S&P 500 Index declined 15 points (1.1%) to 1,386, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 31 points (1.2%) to 2,492. Crude oil rose $0.41 to $127.76 per barrel, and gold ended up $5.20 at $892.50 per ounce.
