Dow Enters Bear Market, Record Crude

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 167 points (1.5%) to close at 11,216, the S&P 500 Index dropped 23 points (1.8%) to 1,262, while the Nasdaq Composite tumbled 54 points (2.3%) to 2,251. Crude oil advanced $2.60 to another record close of $143.57 per barrel, and gold ended up $1.80 at $946.30 per ounce.
