Factory orders increased 0.6% in May, topping the forecast of a 0.5% rise. Durable goods orders were unrevised and held steady. Ex-transportation, orders increased by 0.4% and year-over-year, orders are up 5.0%.
The ADP employment change showed that private sector jobs fell 79,000 in June, worse than the estimate of a 20,000 drop and the biggest decline since November 2002.
