The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 46 points (0.6%) to close at 8,077, the S&P 500 Index rose 4 points (0.5%) to 832, and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 12 points (0.8%) to 1,477. Crude oil rose $2.80 to $46.47 per barrel, and gold was up $41.82 to $898.83 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA fell 2.5%, the S&P 500 Index lost 2.1%, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 3.4%.
