Stocks Finish Lower On Inflation Worries

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 178 points (1.3%) to close at 13,340, the S&P 500 Index lost 20 points (1.4%) to 1,468, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 33 points (1.2%) to 2,636. Crude oil fell $0.93 to $91.32 per barrel, and gold ended down $6.40 at $792.60 per ounce. For the week, the DJIA closed 2.1% lower, the S&P 500 Index dropped 2.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite declined 2.6%.
